Over250 needy children have been given support to continue receiving vital primary education at Nicaragua Primary school. At least 9 of them, have been supported at secondary level and others vocational school at Kikaaya College and vocational school. The need is so vast that only a tip of an ice bag has been tackled.WATER AND SANITATION. Water is a serious problem in the area, children in the area dodge classes and arrive late at school giving the exercise of demand by their parents to fetch water before they leave for school every morning. It is also a long distance where by women and children who are vulnerable to this societal calling, have to walk long distances to fetch water. Further water is also contaminated where by there is an urgent need to construct spring wells to improve the hygiene and eradicate water born diseases. |
